DOOR+ App is Live
It's been 272 days since we launched DOOR (or 195 business days if we didn't work weekends - which we did :). Here is a break down of the milestones we have achieved in this short time frame.
Building a business takes time, and anyone who has been part of a startup knows how difficult it is to build the plane after jumping off the cliff. DOOR is no different than any startup - we have had our challenges. The biggest challenge of course is setting expectations with our community. The world of crypto tends to “compress time” and expect projects to defy all logic (and presumably thru magic) produce value out of thin air in a matter of days. Unfortunately this is not reality.
What is reality is that it takes time to build products, execute a vision and grow a business. Here is what we have achieved since launch:

Launched DOOR+ on App Store Apr 2022 (Currently live on Web, Apple) - Android should be live next week.
I have been part of many startups, and I have never seen this type of progress in this short of a time frame (so perhaps magic is real :). Launched 2 Tokens, 4 apps, 3 exchanges in a matter of 8 months. Everything we promised to deliver - we have and more.
So let’s talk about the DOOR App - DOOR+
Our goal with version 1 was to build something people would visit daily or when they had a specific need - knowing that they would be 1) rewarded and 2) have a good experience.
To achieve this DOOR+ has two major uses (right now) - INFORMATION and SEARCH. Information is heavily tilted toward web3 / crypto - but we do have lifestyle, tech, real estate, finance, etc. The Search is focused on Localized Places (restaurants, museums, points of interest, service providers, etc).
Viewings, searching and clicking on Content is rewarded. The idea is simple - Advertisers and Content providers pay to be on the app - and users benefit. As we grow our user base, we will be able to attract more advertisers and content providers.
We want to be the “DOOR to Crypto”
You will notice in a lot of our marketing we are talking about being the “DOOR to Crypto”. We see a huge opportunity as web3 / blockchain / crypto begins to be more integrated into our daily lives and into the business community - to help “newbies” onboard into this new world.
There are only a handful of trusted news sources and very few apps that actually make it easier (and reward) users for embracing web3. So for us, it’s important to look at the world (and have our users view the world) thru web3-colored glasses.
What about Home Services, etc?
When we started DOOR, our objective was to connect homeowners with home service providers, and we are still going to meet this objective with DOOR+. Through our local search and browsing our “Estate” category, you can gain access to content and connect with providers. The only thing that has changed, is we saw a bigger opportunity to cast a wider net. So I would say we “evolved” into what DOOR+ is today. We want to connect users to more than just home related products and services. We want to connect them to everything.
Next steps are actually simple: Grow Users and Get Advertisers.
The good news, is that everyone who is a user of MyDoorWallet.com is already a registered user of DOOR+ (you can use your same login). It’s fully integrated. But we still need everyone to actually “use” the app - so we can show advertisers traffic.
Until we can show real user engagement and traffic - we will be populating our advertisements with affiliate ads we feel match well with our users.
Now the “hard” part is now in your court :). We need you to use and share the app - so we can attract advertisers - so you can get even more rewards.
