2022 and beyond
In this post we outline the plan for DOOR as we enter a new year. We have accomplished many things in the last 6 months, and still have a long road ahead as we position the business for success.
When we launched DOOR 🚪 we outlined a plan for the first year and we are half way through - so I wanted to start with highlighting hits ✅ and misses ❌ .
✅ Launched MyDoorWallet.com App to allow for easy onboarding of new holders.
✅ Launched Staking within the MyDoorWallet.com app.
✅ Grow Volume and Holders to enable us to be listed on a Central Exchange
✅ Listed on 2 Mid-tier Exchanges - Bitmart and Bitrue. (3rd coming in Jan)
✅ Built a strong community of supporters. 25,000+ users on MDW.
✅ After launching DOOR, we saw opportunity to leverage the assets we built and quickly looked at the opportunity of being a launch pad for new tokens powering business. In December, we launched NIL as the first.
❌ Quickly realized we needed a more advanced user experience to reward for search, clicks and view of ads. Our team has been working on the app since September, will launch in Q1.
❌ After doing research and selling advertisers we realized we needed to expand our thinking beyond home services.
❌ Marketing cryptocurrency was more challenging than expected. There are very few channels to reach crypto-friendly audiences. Due to this challenge, we started looking at it as an opportunity for the DOOR Ad Network.
❌ We had a difficult time setting expectations with out holders. Crypto moves at light speed and demands 24/7 hype and the feedback loop requires a lot of time and energy. This distracts us from focusing on the business.
The plan has evolved, but still very much the same. DOOR will launch an app that will reward users for searching, clicking and viewing ads. The Ad Network will be a critical piece to not only driving the value of DOOR, but also allowing us to take advantage of a very early and unsophisticated cryptocurrency advertising market.
Our primary goal is to target advertisers who benefit the most and pay top dollar for access to our users. This is what will bring the most value in the short term to DOOR. From there we can evolve and expand.
⭐ Launch App (see here for details) and sign up advertisers and drive user growth. This will include a big marketing push since we will have a superior product in the market.
⭐ Move DOOR entirely to centralized exchanges. (read more on this in Gitbook).
⭐ Help Launch new tokens that can leverage our platform, assets and experience and benefit DOOR Holders.
As with any business, it will take time and work to see progress.
Our biggest challenge today is setting expectations with holders. Growing the business will take a long time ⌛, and unfortunately the value of the token 📈 will be more of a reflection of “hype” (or lack thereof) versus the the progress we have made and the assets we have built.
Getting DOOR on exchanges was a major milestone 👍 and puts us in front of millions of buyers 💰💰💰. It will be our job to introduce DOOR to them over the next year and showcase the value through the business. But until we do this, we truly won’t know the real “price” of the token or valuation of DOOR. Over the next few months, we expect more volatility in the price because we are moving from a Decentralized exchange (uniswap) which operates with an Automated Market Maker to a Centralized exchange which has an actual order book which is more accurate representation of price. This transition is challenging and complex.
Once we are in position to grow holders on the CEX, we will coordinate a marketing push with the launch of the app and introduce DOOR to people that are one click away from buying on the exchanges.

Our projects only succeed with your support. The DOOR team has been working long hours investing in this project to not only accelerate our growth but to satisfy the market. The best way to support a project is not to focus on the price of the token, but the progress of the business.
The price goes down because people sell. There is nothing we can do to stop that except continue to focus on building the business, and drive revenue to build significant value.
Price goes up when people buy, which is mostly due to everyone spreading the word about DOOR and NIL.
We appreciate everyone’s support over the last 6 months. We are still very early, and building something I believe is very unique. There are 1,000’s of tokens, and 99% will not survive the winter, because they have no underlying utility. We win if we are patient, and let the business grow.
